The Royal Palace (Koninklijk Palace) at Dam Square in Amsterdam was built between 1648 and 1655. The king is not living there, but when important visitors drop by, they sometimes use the Royal Palace for dinners, meetings, discussions, and press conferences. Inside the Royal Palace, there are many sculptures and paintings. As a result, it is possible to visit the Royal Palace to enjoy different exhibitions, or to look around in the majestic rooms used by the royal family and official guests on different occasions.
It is possible to visit the Royal Palace, but it is recommended to buy your ticket beforehand. This is especially important as the building can be closed during special programs (which take place regularly). You can read more about the Royal Palace and order tickets at https://www.paleisamsterdam.nl/en/.
A normal ticket for visiting the palace costs about €13.
