Which are the most popular concert locations in Amsterdam?
There are lots of great places for a nice concert or event or festival in Amsterdam, but here you have the most popular and famous venues.
- Ziggo Dome – A large arena known for hosting international music stars and large-scale events. Artists like Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, and Imagine Dragons have performed here. It is very close to the Johan Cruyff Arena.
- AFAS Live – Another popular venue, especially for concerts and live performances from both international and local artists.
- Paradiso – A former church turned into a music venue, Paradiso is famous for its intimate atmosphere and wide range of genres, from indie bands to world music and electronic acts.
- Melkweg – Known for its alternative music scene, Melkweg hosts a variety of events, including concerts, film screenings, and cultural performances.
- Royal Concertgebouw – Renowned for its acoustics, this historic venue is home to classical music concerts, but also hosts jazz, world music, and occasional pop performances.
- Amsterdam ArenA (Johan Cruyff Arena) – Primarily a sports stadium, the ArenA also hosts massive concerts, such as those by U2 or The Rolling Stones, and large-scale events like dance music festivals.
Which are the most famous events and festivals in Amsterdam?
If you come to the Netherlands on April 27, you will immediately notice that something is different. This is the King’s Day and the entire country is colored in orange and there are celebrations everywhere.
