Great Britain has produced lots of celebrities throughout history, and one of those stars is Mick Hucknall. Maybe not everyone knows that name, but if we say, Simply Red, most people remember the red, curly-haired singer, who charm his fans with his soft, wide-ranging voice.
Mick Hucknall was born in 1960, Denton, England. His mother left her family, when the little Mick was only three years old, so he was brought up by his father. Hucknall met with his mother only three times in his lifetime.
The idea of the musician career was born in a Sex Pistols concert in Manchester, in 1976, after that Hucknall and a few friends formed the band, the Frantic Elevators. After the successes in the early time, the band changed their name, what was inspired after the red haired singer, Simply Red. The band stayed up for 25 years and sold 50 million albums, finally broke up in 2010. Two years later, the singer, Mick Hucknall made a solo album, the American Soul in 2012. On this album he rethink his favorites and most inspiring songs.
In this spring, 2013, Hucknall is going to start an European tour, which is going to bring the experience of the first solo album live.

Even in the country of tulips and wood slippers there will be two times and two places, first 5 March 2013 in Heineken Music Hall, Amsterdam, and after that 6 March 2013 in Oosterpoort, Groningen.
